Greenbuild 2009 Residential Summit


The Greenbuild Residential Summit is a unique event that brings together leaders in the residential green building industry for two days of information sessions, networking, and sharing of best practices.


This year’s multi-day Summit featured targeted educational tracks and an opening general session, “Greening Our New Housing Stock: A Discussion Across Multiple Sectors,” lead by Bensonwood Homes company steward Tedd Benson, UDR, Inc. President & CEO Thomas Toomey, President of Shea Homes' Active Lifestyle Communities Rick Andreen, and “Renovation Nation” host Steve Thomas.

Hanley Award

  • This year marks the inaugural presentation of The Hanley Award for Vision and Leadership in Sustainable Housing. The award is sponsored by The Hanley Foundation, EcoHome magazine, and Hanley Wood, LLC, and its $50,000 grant represents the largest award ever established for advancing sustainable housing.

    Hanley Wood is delighted to present the award this year to Ed Mazria, pioneering architect, author, educator, and visionary founder of Architecture 2030. Mazria will receive the award at the exclusive USGBC Hanley Award Dinner on the evening of Nov. 12, at the beautiful Heard Museum in Phoenix.
